Tokly is a mobile app for making and discovering small playable experiences such as games, toys, quizzes, cards, and simulators. This policy covers the Tokly features available in the current app.
1. Scope
This policy applies to Tokly mobile app features, Tokly public playable pages, and related account, generation, sharing, and moderation services.
Tokly does not use advertising SDKs and does not sell personal information. Tokly does not request precise location, contacts, microphone access, or camera access.
2. Information We Collect
Tokly collects information needed to run the app and the features you choose to use.
- Account information: email address, account name, password authentication data, email verification status, session tokens, IP address, user agent, and account security events.
- Profile information: display name, handle, bio, avatar image, follower counts, and following relationships.
- Content you create: prompts, refinement instructions, generated playables, remix links, titles, descriptions, tags, visibility settings, playable versions, generated thumbnails, and share images.
- Images you choose to upload: selected images for playable generation, avatars, and playable cover images. Tokly supports common image formats and limits uploads to small app-sized files.
- Community activity: likes, saved playables, comments, replies, comment likes, pinned comments, reports, play counts, and in-app activity notifications.
- Gameplay data: personal best scores, leaderboard entries, and per-viewer persistent state saved by a playable, such as progress, settings, unlocks, or collectibles.
- Technical data: API requests, device and network request metadata, cache entries stored on the device, rate-limit records, generation job diagnostics, and service logs used to operate and protect the service.
3. Photos and Device Storage
Tokly asks for photo library access only when you choose an image for a playable, avatar, or cover. Tokly asks for add-to-library permission only when you save a generated share image to your photo library.
The app stores authentication cookies in secure device storage. It also caches API responses, avatars, playable thumbnails, and share images on the device to make the app faster and usable during short network interruptions.
4. How We Use Information
- Create and maintain your account, sessions, profile, and account security settings.
- Generate, test, refine, publish, display, share, and remix playables.
- Store uploaded images and generated assets so playables, avatars, covers, thumbnails, and share cards can load.
- Power feeds, search, creator profiles, likes, saved playables, follows, comments, replies, mentions, leaderboards, play counts, and in-app activity notifications.
- Apply rate limits, prevent abuse, review reports, moderate unsafe or infringing content, and enforce account or content restrictions.
- Send transactional emails such as verification links and password reset links. Registered users may also be added to a Tokly mailing list if the email service is configured for product updates.
- Improve reliability by debugging generation failures, storage problems, network errors, and app performance issues.
5. AI Processing
Tokly uses AI model services to turn prompts, optional uploaded images, and remix instructions into playable content. Uploaded images may also be analyzed to describe visible details that help generation use the image accurately.
Do not submit confidential information, private images, or content you do not have the right to use. AI-generated content can be imperfect or non-unique, so review a playable before publishing it.
7. Service Providers
Tokly uses service providers for hosting, databases, S3-compatible object storage, Redis-compatible rate limiting, transactional and mailing-list email, and AI generation. These providers process information only as needed to provide Tokly services.
Tokly may disclose information when required by law, to protect users or the service, or during a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.
8. Retention and Deletion
Tokly keeps account, profile, content, uploaded asset, score, state, comment, and activity records while they are needed to provide the service, maintain public content, enforce safety decisions, or meet legal obligations.
You can edit profile information, change email or password, delete your own playables, delete your own comments, remove saved playables, and sign out in the app. Some deleted comment records may remain as deletion markers so reply threads and moderation records stay consistent.
Rate-limit records expire automatically. Device caches can be cleared by the operating system, by app reinstall, or by app cache invalidation after mutations.
9. Your Choices and Rights
- You can deny photo library permissions and still browse, play, like, comment, and create text-only playables.
- You can keep a playable private, publish it publicly, make it remixable, or turn remixability off for your own playable.
- You can opt out of marketing messages using the unsubscribe option when such messages are sent.
- You can request access, correction, deletion, or account-level help through the public support channel listed with Tokly in the App Store or distribution page where you downloaded the app.
10. Children
Tokly is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information to Tokly, contact Tokly through the public support channel so the account or content can be reviewed.
11. Changes
Tokly may update this policy when features, service providers, or legal requirements change. The effective date at the top shows when this version was last updated.
